Incorporated in 1987, North York Little Prints Daycare is a not-for-profit organization operated by a Board of Directors committed to providing high quality childcare services to families throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Our Board of Directors develops the guidelines, policies and procedures used in the successful day-to-day operation of our four centres. We believe that our success as a childcare service operator comes from our commitment to each family that joins our program and the community that forms around them.
As a daycare, every aspect of our performance and facilities are regularly and favourably evaluated against both provincial and city criteria. This assessment includes effective programming and adherence to staff to student ratios. Inspired by the world outside the classroom, our programming is multicultural and varied in both content and delivery. We encourage child-initiated play and discovery through hands-on activities to engage all children across all learning domains - social/emotional, communication and language, cognitive, creative and physical.
Because parent interaction is a valuable part of the learning process, we encourage families to play and learn together through our family workshops and celebrations. Our centres have hosted "Dig-In" events for spring planting, pumpkin-carving workshops and student-led markets in autumn, art shows and puppet shows as well as at celebrations like mini-carnivals, teddy bear picnics and strawberry socials.
